What is Screechr?
Screechr is a dynamic social platform designed for real-time conversations, sharing updates, and connecting with communities that share your passions.
Whether you're broadcasting your thoughts, sharing content, or discovering what's trending, Screechr gives you a microphone to reach the world.
How do I sign up?
Creating an account is quick and free.
Simply click the Sign Up button on the homepage, enter your email address, choose a unique username, and create a strong password. Once you have verified your email address, your account will be ready to use.
Is Screechr free to use?
Yes. Screechr is completely free to join and use.
Account & Security
How do I reset my password?
If you've forgotten your password, click Forgot Password? on the login page.
Enter the email address associated with your account, and we'll send you a link to reset your password.
How can I make my account private?
Screechr profiles are public by default. If you would prefer to control who can see your posts, go to Settings > Account Privacy Settings and Make Your Changes.
When your account is private, only followers you approve will be able to view your Screechs and updates.
What should I do if I see inappropriate content or harassment?
We take community safety seriously.
If you encounter content or an account that violates our Community Guidelines, click the three dots (...) on the post or profile and select Report Abuse.
Our moderation team will review reported content and take appropriate action where necessary.
Posting & Interacting
What is a "Screech"?
A Screech is a post, update, photo, or video that you share on Screechr.
Think of it as your way of making your voice heard across the network.
Can I edit or delete a Screech after posting?
Deleting a Screech:
Yes. You can delete any of your own Screechs at any time. Simply click the
menu icon on the post and select Delete.
Editing a Screech:
You can edit a post. Select Edit Post from the post menu
and make your changes.
How do hashtags work on Screechr?
Adding a # before a word or phrase turns it into a clickable hashtag.
Using relevant hashtags can help other users discover your content when searching for particular topics or interests.
Notifications & Settings
How do I manage my notification preferences?
You can choose which notifications you receive, including likes, replies, new followers, and direct messages.
Go to Settings > Notifications Settings to customise your email and push notification preferences.
Can I change my username?
Yes. You can change your username by navigating to Settings > General Profile Settings > Username.
Please note that changing your username will also update your public profile link.
Technical Support & Account Deletion
The site isn't loading correctly. What should I do?
If Screechr isn't loading or working correctly, try the following:
- Clear your browser's cache and cookies.
- Make sure you are using the latest version of your web browser.
- Try accessing Screechr using a different browser or device.
- Check the official Screechr status page for any reported service issues.
- If the problem continues, contact our support team.
How do I delete my account?
We're sorry to see you go!
If you wish to permanently close your Screechr account, go to Settings > Account Settings > Delete Profile and follow the instructions.
Please note that account deletion is permanent and may remove your posts, followers, profile information, and other associated account data.
